1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY.
2. PARTICIPATION CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF RULES AND DECISIONS, CONSENT TO USE AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS. By entering this contest, each participant warrants that he or she has read and agrees to abide by all contest rules and that he or she is not prohibited from participating in the contest. Participation in this contest constitutes participant's full and unconditional acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of Jean M, its parents, affiliates, employees and agents, which are final, binding and non-negotiable in all respect. Each participant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Jean M and its parents, affiliates, shareholders, employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers from any liability arising from or related to the contest, including without limitation, (a) unauthorized human intervention in the contest; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (d) personal injury, death, and property damage; and (e) claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy. Further, participants fully and unconditionally release all claims for consideration, copyright infringement and all other claims of any nature relating to the use of their entry, name or likeness.
3. ELIGIBILITY. This contest is open to U.S. residents twenty-one 21 years of age and older with a wedding date that falls between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009. Proof of age and identity must be furnished upon request. Employees, agents, independent dealers and affiliates of Jean M and its agents, affiliates and immediate family members of all such persons, are not eligible to participate in this contest. Jean M reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, suspend, or amend this contest at any time for any reason. Jean M further reserves the right to amend these contest rules at any time without prior notice, at its sole discretion. Jean M reserves the right to disqualify any participant for any reason, including, but not limited to, violation of these Official Rules or infringement of the rights of a third-party.
4. TO ENTER. This contest begins at 12:00 a.m. on March 26, 2008 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on August 31, 2008. To enter this contest, participants are asked to: (i) go to the Jean M website, located at www.myjeanm.com, complete the entry form, including your name, mailing address, email address, and other entry requirements; (ii) upload a video or photo of the couple being creative and telling us why they should be the next Jean M bride. We're looking for someone who wants to create a unique experience for their wedding guests, but maybe needs help pulling all the details together; (iii) read the Official Rules and click the box acknowledging that you have read and agree to abide by the Official Rules; and (iv) click "submit". Videos should be no more than four (4) minutes in length. Video Inputs supported are MOV, WMV, AVI, and MP4. Video Inputs from DV camcorders or web cams are also supported. The video or photo may not contain any copyrighted materials or trademarks that are not owned by the participant. Any elements that appear in the video or photo, including without limitation, images, music, audio, speech, or other audiovisual materials used must be entirely original, created, and performed by the entrant, or be in the public domain. Use of any elements that are not original or in the public domain will result in disqualification of the video or photo, in Jean M's sole discretion. The video or photo may not depict any individual or feature the voice of any individual other than the participant unless the participant has obtained permission from each person depicted or featured in the video or photo. Upon request of Jean M, the participant may be required to provide Jean M with a release from any individual depicted or featured in the videos or photos. The videos and photos that are submitted may be uploaded and featured on the Jean M website and/or on YouTube. By uploading your video or photo, you give us express permission to post or upload the video and photos on the internet in our exclusive discretion. Please only one entry per person and e-mail address. By submitting an entry, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules. Persons submitting entries under false pretenses will be disqualified. Jean M is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind. Jean M is not responsible for any lost or misdirected mail sent by participant or Jean M.
5. THE WINNER. On or around August 31, 2008, a panel of judges, selected by Jean M, will determine who the one (1) winner will be. The criteria that the judges will use to determine the winner from among all eligible entries will include, but is not limited to: (1) Uniqueness of participant's wedding details, including the location, the decorations, the ceremony, etc. - 28%; (2) Photogenic qualities of the bride and groom's entry video or photo - 16%; (4) Creativity of video or photo submission - 28%; and (5) A bride who fits the definition of a "Jean M Bride" - 28%. A "Jean M Bride" is defined as a bride who wants and plans her wedding to be a creative and unique expression of who she is. After the first winner is selected, an alternate entry will be selected and placed in a sealed envelope. The sealed envelope will be held by Jean M, to be opened only in the event that the first winner selected is discovered to be invalid for any reason whatsoever, or if the person who submitted the winning entry does not contact Jean M within the time frame specified in paragraph 7 below. If such an event should occur, the person who submitted the alternate entry will become the winner, subject to the same rules and conditions set forth herein. All results of the contest are final and binding. The judges' determination is final and conclusive on all parties.
6. THE PRIZE. The winner will receive as a prize valued at four thousand dollars ($4,000) worth of wedding services and products, as determined by Jean M in its sole discretion. The products and services may include such things as invitations, wedding accessories, wedding programs, etc. In addition, if necessary, Jean M will arrange travel arrangements to the Jean M's Corporate Headquarters to finalize the prize and for the consultation services. Travel, hotel stay and meals while in North Mankato, Minnesota will be arranged by Jean M. The prize must be redeemed no later than the date of the wedding, as specified on the entry form. If the prize is not redeemed prior to the date of the wedding, it will be forfeited by the winner. Jean M reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prizes. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded. The winner is responsible for taxes any and all other costs and expenses not listed above. All decisions of the judges of this contest are final, binding and non-negotiable. No prize may be transferred or substituted
7. IDENTIFICATION OF POTENTIAL WINNER. Jean M will notify the potential winners by first class mail, email, and/or telephone on or around August 31, 2008 at the information provided on the entry form. Jean M is not responsible for lost, stolen, late, or misdirected mail. If unable to make contact with the winner within ten (10) days after Jean M's first attempts to notify the winner, or if the winner fails to claim the prize in accordance with these Official Rules within ten (10) days after the initial attempt by Jean M to notify the winner, Jean M will award the prize to the alternate winner, as described in paragraph 5 above. The winner must claim the prize by signing and returning the Authorization and Release, a copy of these contest rules, and a completed W-9 form.

9. MISCELLANEOUS. By entering this contest, participants consent to Jean M's use of their name, likeness, image and biographical data for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. BECAUSE PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM PARTICIPANTS WILL BE COLLECTED BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, PARTICIPANTS SHOULD REVIEW Jean M's Privacy Policy, which can be found at www.myjeanm.com. By entering this contest, participant authorizes Jean M to contact participant for commercial purposes via fax, telephone, or e-mail address listed on the participant's entry form. There will be no use of participants name or other personal information for future commercial purposes except as in accordance with Jean M's privacy policy. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without giving effect to conflicts of law rules.
